Terms of Service

Last updated 30 October 2026

1. The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Orivant Labs ("we", "us"), which operates DocDiff (the "Service") at orivantlabs.com. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use Policy.

If you use the Service for an organization, you confirm that you may accept these terms for it, and "you" includes that organization. You must be at least 18 years old.

2. The service

DocDiff compares documents and lists the differences it finds, with their locations. We may improve, change or remove features over time. Some features may be marked as early or experimental; they may change more often and may not always be available.

3. Accounts

  • You sign in with an email address you control. Keep access to that email secure: anyone who can read it can sign in as you.
  • Keep API keys secret. You are responsible for activity under your account, your workspace and your keys.
  • Workspace owners and admins control who joins their workspace and what each member can do.
  • Tell us at once at security@orivantlabs.com if you think your account has been misused.

4. Your content

"Your content" means the files you upload and the results produced from them. You keep all rights to your content.

You give us permission to store, process and display your content only as needed to provide the Service to you and your workspace, to keep it secure, and to meet legal obligations. We do not sell your content, and we do not use it to train AI models.

You confirm that you have the right to upload your content and that doing so doesn't break any law or anyone else's rights, including confidentiality obligations.

If you report a change as wrong or missed, you allow us to use that report, and the minimum excerpt needed to understand it, to improve the Service. Tell us if you'd rather we didn't.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to follow the Acceptable Use Policy. In particular, don't upload patients' health information or other sensitive personal data unless we have agreed to it in writing.

6. Results and AI summaries

DocDiff helps you review documents; it doesn't replace your judgment. Check important changes against the original documents, which every result links to, before you rely on them. DocDiff does not give legal, financial, medical or other professional advice.

Optional summaries are written by a third-party AI model from the list of changes. They can be incomplete or wrong. Each summary points to the changes it describes so you can check it.

7. Fees

The Service is currently free to use, within reasonable limits we may set to keep it running well for everyone. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you in advance, and we will never charge you without your agreement.

8. Suspension and closure

You may stop using the Service at any time, and ask us to close your account by writing to privacy@orivantlabs.com. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the Service or other users at risk. Where reasonable, we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.

After an account is closed, we delete its content within 30 days. Copies in backups are removed as those backups expire, within a further 35 days.

9. Disclaimers

We work hard to make DocDiff accurate and reliable, but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no other promises, including that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or will find every difference in every document.

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable to the other for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, revenue or data, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and USD 100.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud, or your rights as a consumer under the law of the country you live in.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For important changes, we will tell you in advance, by email or in the Service, and ask you to accept the new version when you next sign in. The date at the top shows the latest version.

12. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Before going to court, we both agree to try to settle any dispute informally by writing to the other first. Any dispute that can't be settled this way will be heard by the competent courts in India, except where the law gives you the right to bring a claim in the courts of the country you live in.

13. Contact
